Here's to the end of a good week.

Gratitude for a wonderful husband, who sent off the rest of the presents and Holiday cards (no guaranteed delivery by Christmas, sorry folks), helped me put up our Christmas decorations, and for the lovely dinner soon to be made.

Wishing that my overwhelming job satisfaction will last for a good long while. Music, food, open space, team players, respect, and productivity are at an all time high. I feel like I'm going in a good direction. I prayed going into the job interview I would only get this job and accept it if it was a good fit. It fits like a leather glove. If it does fit, you mustn't quit is my new motto, ala OJ.

Sort of dreading, but relishing in the process of making new friends, especially our new couple friends. It's like we're dating other people, but together at the same time.

For all the other wonderful volunteers I get to work with at Samaritans.

And lastly, gratitude for the ability to go visiting teaching. I feel like I get more out of it then vice versa. I don't know how that works. Maybe because they're super awesome. Oh, and so is my companion.

Feels like -1 degrees.

The ice for the holiday party was left outside all afternoon since it's colder than a well digger's you know what, as Matt would say.

Sometimes I wonder how different my life would be if I had gone to BU instead of BYU, like I had planned. I always thought I'd like to live in Boston one of these days and now I do and I walk through BU's campus everyday to get to work. I'm living out my dreams!

It was also really weird when the CEO of my company stood next to Matt and I realized they look exactly alike. European.

Dave made it to the LA Korea Times.

We're so proud of him.

I was playing Uno at 3 in the morning.

Today I watched the sunrise over the State House. Glorious.

But most importantly, today I am grateful for electricity. And the aisle in Shaw's of a gazillion different light bulbs. For the oven that baked the brownies. And the Christmas lights husband put up since I'm pretty much out of commission.

I'm not fit to pull an all-nighter anymore.

Thinking about Italy.

I'm not sure if I would rather take hot weather over cold. Right now I want hot.

Have I mentioned I have a really awesome MIL?

I received this today in the mail from Mommy Homer. I've never been this excited for hat hair before!

Keeping things in perspective: What's wrong with living in Allston?

$30 entrees - venison and bass, Harvard faculty club parties, Cambridge snobs = enlightening, but I realize I like living amongst the commoners in Allston where the preferred mode of transportation is public transportation and not underground tunnels that connect every building.

Today, I am grateful for 24/7 running hot water and buses - weridos, delays and all.

And a prayer Matt doesn't turn into a $50 haircut, cab taking (to go a mile) man, like so many people I've met this past weekend.
